I could have sworn that PowerBooks don't use that Operating System. If you are confused, check out the larger picture of the PowerBook.

*laughs* Someone wasn't thinking when they photoshopped that picture.
I thought the same thing. I guess Best Buy just puts the same screenshot on every computer they sell. Who buys a Mac from Best Buy anway? I figure they won't lose much more than street cred.
Wow thats just so awesome. You don't need an intel chip to daul boot i guess
You would think the person who did this would know it is not right. So, either they do not care or did not know what else to do. Very funny.
Has the PB 17" always had the Superdrive there? It looks a little... funny, being so close to the edge and all. Just went to the Apple site and their shots of it look like that too. How odd.
This is exactly why nobody in their right mind should buy a computer from "Best Buy". Your trip to their tech support might go something like this.....
"Um...yes. I'm having some problems with my new PowerBook..."
"Sir. What seems to be the problem?"
"Well I'm wondering what the open apple key does..."
"Sir, we'll see if we can get to the bottom of this. Could you right-click on My Computer for me?................................Sir?"
Is Best Buy really that stupid? It seems to huge a mistake to be true. But hey, maybe the Best Buy guys have managed to dual-boot (wait for it..) the old Powerbooks! ROFL!
Just plain ridiculous. This is why you should never buy Apple products through a reseller.
I have seen this happen many many times before. For example AMD showed a PowerBook for their new mobile processor and Microsoft uses iBooks to display people working behind laptops. This says something about marketing people. Companies should give a course titled "Know Your Product."
Makro used to sell PC's with IE for Mac on them all the time. Well according to their folders, anyway. I guess their graphics department was Mac based.
No big deal, but still funny.
Give 'em a break. It's just some art department intern doing some quick photoshops for the catalog. They don't look too much into it and we shouldn't either.
It is worth a small chuckle though.
Many years ago I remember ads showing poorly faked screens (the angle was lopsided) on monitors and the monitor power light wasn't even on. I think it was in a Radio Shack catalog.
Either somebody made the normal Best Buy "duh" mistake, or the person making this picture was leaning towards some radical statement about the intel switch for Apple (^_-)V
This reminds me of the time a German electronics retail chain called "Media Markt" offered a Mac mini with pre-installed "Microsoft Mac OS X": http://www.macguardians.de/index.php?p=3632
Oh, come off it Lite. Its probably just some interns fault because he was rushed or something along those lines.
Much importantly, the 3 software titles appear to be for Windows NOT OS X. There is 50 USD down the drain.
Don't shop at a store like best buy anyway. They have jacked up prices, poor selection, and their staff is most unhelpful.
Amen to Paradox - I was in a best buy in Nebraska... two computer "technicians" were tag-teaming an old lady into buying a brand new top of the line HP laptop - all the bells and whistles. She asked, "can I use this for email? That's all I want." "Sure, this will work GREAT for email"
After they left her to go ring it up, I shook my head knowing she could easily get by with a used P3.
